Once you've picked up your rental car from the airport, you can begin your adventures. Although traffic rules in the Faroe Islands are similar to those in most European countries, there are a few things to note. Numerous tunnels connect the islands, some under the sea and others through mountains.

While the new tunnels have two lanes, the older ones are single-track and require some adjustment. Mountain tunnels are free, but subsea tunnels need a tunnel pass, which you can add to your car rental booking. Additionally, watch out for sheep on the roads. The natural scenery is stunning, but remember, stopping on the roads is prohibited; you must pull over to the side.

No, a deposit is not required for your rental car. Instead, we will place a hold on your credit card, which will be released once the car is returned. Provided there are no damages or additional kilometers, the full amount will be returned to you

We accept all major credit cards, including Mastercard, American Express, Visa, and Diners Club, as well as Visa/Dankort. Please note that cash payments are not accepted, as we place an additional hold on your card as a deposit, which is released upon returning the car.

How old do I need to be to rent a car with Enterprise?

In Denmark, you must be at least 19 years old and have held your driver's license for a minimum of one year. Drivers under 25 will incur an additional daily fee.

How is the rental car insured?

In Denmark, rental cars come with all mandatory insurances, including comprehensive and liability coverage. These cover damage costs with a DKK 5,000 deductible per incident, as specified in the rental agreement. When booking a car abroad, insurance is always included, but the deductible may vary by country.

Can I choose the exact model of car that I want to rent?

Unfortunately not. We regularly update our fleet to ensure our cars are always new, so we cannot guarantee a specific model. However, you will always receive a vehicle in the size category you booked online.
